card 7 epistrophe

"Ending a series of lines, phrases, or sentences with the same word or words."

Twenty years we have stood together, and love has been our stone
Many times the storm did test us, and love has been our stone
Came pain and sorrow death and trial, and love has been our stone
Came passion, triumph, lovers bower, and love has been our stone
So many tides have come and gone, so many winds our ship has sailed
Our voyage would end with out an anchor, And Love has been our Stone

card 2 Anadiplosis redux

I happened to write a new verse using this concept:

God created a world, created it and filled it with light and life.
Life flourished, following its cycle every plant and beast.

Beast roamed lived and died; and the wild was untamed.
Untamed into the world now did God introduce Mankind.

Mankind God made in his own image able to make a world.
A world made by each to fill with whatever they create.

Create a world of life and love and you will love the life therein
Therein lies the danger, there are other things we can create.

Create not a world of bitter hatred, darkness and despair
Despair then of the world of life and love will be your fate.

Fate such as this is not what God has meant for his creation
Creation of a world is the true gift to mankind from God

Assonance - Defined as "repetition of similar sounds, preceded and followed by different consonants." In the quote from Shakespeare given, I am not readily identifying this pattern from.
