Rhetoric is (as many of my friends and acquaintances know) one of the seven liberal arts. However, other than that, what is Rhetoric?
Well according to Merriam-Webster Rhetoric is "the art or skill of speaking or writing formally and effectively especially as a way to persuade or influence people"
More poetically, 'Well spoken and well written are both well received.' I heard this many times growing up. I can not say any one source I could ascribe it to, however it is an apt description of Rhetoric.
I started after I obtained a set of the flash cards to work my way through them on Facebook. Posting the word and definition from the card and an original statement or verse as an example. The posting of the first card I accidentally deleted and well it was an easy one.
Alliteration. "Repetition of the letter or sound within nearby words; most often repeated initial consonants."
I really don't remember what I wrote as my example but here is a new one:

"Being blind and bound, I did not balk to bend or bring myself to bang upon the door."
